The first thing to check is the GPU settings in Chrome. In the address bar of Chrome, please type "chrome://gpu" without the quotes.
If your WebGL status says "Unavailable" or "Software only...", proceed to the next steps.
In the address bar, remove "gpu" and type "flags".
At the top of this page, you will see "Experiments" with a warning in red. The very first option on this page should be "Override Software Rendering List".
Change the dropdown menu from "Disabled" to "Enabled". As soon as you do this, you will see a blue "Relaunch Chrome" button appear at the bottom of the page. Click this to relaunch the browser.
Once Chrome opens again, navigate back to "chrome://gpu". Your Graphics Feature Status should now look like this:
The WebGL options should now say Hardware Accelerated. If it does, you should be able to load your assignment in Chrome without getting the error message.
**Please note that if you are on a work computer, your company's IT department may have policies in place that prevents these changes from resolving the issue.**
