Question
What score did I get on my assignment?
Answer
Depending on which assignment and which Shadow Health product you're using, you may see multiple scores on the Results Page for your attempt. Here are some of the common scores you'll see when you complete your assignment:
DCE Score
This is the most common score you'll see across all of our products and assignments. It always is a reflection on how you performed in total on the assignment. For Pharmacology (Patient Cases and Med Math assignments) and Leadership, the DCE Score is how you performed in total on the assignment.
For all other products (Health Assessment, Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pharmacology, Mental Health, and Gerontology), the DCE Score is based on the SPI (see below). We compare your SPI to the National Average of students in similar courses and normalize that National Average to 80% generally.
Student Performance Index (SPI)
The SPI is essentially your raw score (points you earned divided by points possible).
Others
Each assignment has different scored activities to perform. For example, you'll see Subjective Data Collection in many of our products, you'll see First Try and Second Try only in Pharmacology, etc. Generally, you can combine all of these other scores to total into the SPI or DCE Score.
N/A
Sometimes, you'll see "N/A" on the Results for your assignment. This doesn't mean you missed something, it just means that that category isn't present in this assignment. For example, most Concept Lab assignments don't have a DCE Score, so you'll see N/A for that in your Results Book.
