Video Tutorial:
Shadow Health’s Class Stats feature allows you to see how your students performed overall in terms of asking the subjective and objective data questions they are evaluated on in assignments that have a patient exam component. You will be able to see at a glance areas of strength, as well as areas where your students may need to remediate.
Accessing the Class Stats Feature:
To access Class Stats for a particular assignment, click on the name of the assignment, and then click on the “Class Stats” button in the Assignment Overview section.
You will then need to click on the “Calculate Updated Stats” button, so the software can calculate the most updated statistics on questions asked in the assignments. You may need to refresh the screen more than once, and it may take a few minutes depending on the number of students in your course and the subjective and objective components are present in the assignment.
If your course is broken out into sections, you can filter for just your section prior to calculating the stats.
Once the calculations are complete, you can scroll down through the various questions your students encountered in the assignment. These will be organized by type of discovery. For subjective data collection, elements are organized by scored items in the left-hand column (essential patient data) and not-scored items in the right-hand column (questions that are good to ask for better patient data and better patient care). Shadow Health provides you with statistics on how many of your students answered each particular element.
